Who we are
Pursuit of Utopia is operated by Sion Williams in the United Kingdom and is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. Contact: [email protected].
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookieless service that gives us aggregate page statistics (such as visits per page and referring sites) without tracking, profiling or identifying individual visitors. See the separate cookie notice.
The audit request form
When you submit the Growth Opportunity Audit form, the details you enter (name, work email, business or property name, and the optional details about your properties, assets and priorities) are delivered via Google Forms into a private spreadsheet that only we control. The page you submitted from and any campaign parameters in the link you arrived on (UTM tags and referrer) are recorded with the submission so we know how you found us. We use this information solely to assess fit, prepare your audit and reply to your enquiry. It is never sold, shared for marketing, or added to a mailing list.
Lawful basis
We process form submissions and email enquiries on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (preparing the audit you asked for) and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics are processed on the basis of legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used.
Data processors and hosting
We use a small number of service providers to run this website and handle enquiries:
- Cloudflare — website hosting (Cloudflare Pages) and cookieless analytics.
- Google — form submissions (Google Forms) and the private spreadsheet where they are stored (Google Workspace).
- Microsoft / email provider — email correspondence.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security measures. They may process data outside the UK (for example in the United States); where they do, transfers rely on the providers' recognised safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
What happens when you email us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it to reply to your enquiry and to manage any conversation that follows. We do not sell it, share it with third parties for marketing, or add you to any mailing list without asking.
Prospect research
If we contact your business, we do so using publicly available business contact information (for example your business website or public listings), on the basis of legitimate interest in offering a relevant business service. If you ask us not to contact you again, that request is honoured permanently.
How long information is kept
Email correspondence and form submissions are kept for as long as needed to manage the enquiry or business relationship, and reviewed at least annually. Submissions that do not lead to a working relationship are deleted within 24 months. You can ask at any time for what we hold about you to be corrected or deleted sooner.
Your rights
- Access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you.
- Restrict or object to our processing, including objecting to being contacted. One message is enough.
- Receive a copy of the information you provided in a portable format.
- Complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO at ico.org.uk).
